🌵Trichocereus Pachanoi / Echinopsis Pachanoi "Nuestra Bonita" AKA "Cruelty" AKA "DAFQ" 🌱

This listing is for 1 seedling approximate size 3 to 5 inches long.

*First two photos are not my photos and are shown to give a great idea of what your seedling will look like once its being cared for in the right environment.

Keep in mind it may come with critters due to being grown outside. These seedlings are not fat and plump like they could be due to not growing in their right conditions but will start to grow that way for you once you have them established in their right growing conditions.

Nuestra Bonita: is a gorgeous Pachanoi clone that hails from San Diego, CA. The original stand grows in an old neighborhood in the area and cuts from it have since been spread far and wide. It has a unique look as it grows longer than normal spines for San Pedro. In fact, it has a similar look to the Yowie cultivar.Nuestra Bonita is a prized cactus for its overall beauty. They grow incredibly thick and fast, especially when planted in the ground. It’s also a clone that is tolerant of the heat and sun, so if you live somewhere very hot it will do well in your garden. Our Nuestra Bonita mother plant is planted in the ground here in Phoenix and is able to withstand full sun, even in our hellish summer months.

🌱HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR SEEDLING 🌱

☀️ Light & Placement☀️
  • Full Sun: Mature plants love full sun. Introduce it to direct sunlight gradually if it has been kept in the shade to prevent sunburn.
  • Indoor Setup: If grown indoors, it requires a very bright south-facing window or a strong full-spectrum LED grow light to prevent etiolation (thin, stretched, pale growth).
💧 Watering (The "Soak and Dry" Method)
  • Active Growth (Spring/Summer): Water thoroughly until water drains out the bottom of the pot. Do not water again until the soil is completely dry all the way to the bottom.
  • Dormancy (Winter): Drastically reduce or entirely stop watering during cold winter months. Cool, wet soil will quickly lead to root rot.
🪴 Soil & Potting
  • Drainage is Key: Use a highly gritty mix. A good ratio is 50% organic matter (like quality potting soil) and 50% inorganic matter (like perlite, pumice, or coarse chicken grit).
  • Pot Selection: Terra cotta or fabric pots are ideal because they breathe and allow the soil to dry out faster than plastic or glazed ceramic pots.
🌡️ Temperature & Hardiness
  • Heat Tolerance: This cultivar is famous for tolerating intense summer heat and full sun better than many other Pachanoi varieties.
  • Cold Tolerance: It can handle light, brief frosts down to about 30°F (-1°C) if the soil is bone dry. If a hard freeze is expected, cover the tip or bring the plant indoors.
🧪 Feeding
  • Fertilizer: During the spring and summer active growing season, feed it every few weeks with a low-nitrogen, balanced fertilizer (like a 2-7-7 or a diluted kelp/fish emulsion) to support its naturally thick, heavy rib growth.

Your seedling will come bare rooted.
